4. Youth picnic

 Nudges friend. Friend gives a look that says 'what?' Uses her eyes to point in direction of couple holding their drinks and laughing.
'Frank and what seems to be his new girl.'
'Mm-hm.' Smirks.
'Is she even from our church?'
'Nope, I don't think so. Never seen her there.'
'He got over Vivian very quickly, didn't he?'
'Since she appears to still be single, I'll say yes.'
'Insensitive prick. Did he even consider what it might do to Vivian to see him with someone new?'
'Hey, easy, tiger. First off, they never explicitly told anyone that they were an item.'
'But the signs were there and we aren't stupid.'
'Second, they didn't announce to anyone that they 'broke up.'

 'Also very obvious and you know it. And now he's with someone new. What the hell are we supposed to think? That that's his cousin?'
'Could be, you know.'
'That's bull. They dated, it didn't work out and now he's moved on and she hasn't.'
'They say they're friends.'
'Well, I don't know about you but I haven't seen them say two words to each other in so long. And they used to not know how to do that not too long before that.'
Silence stops by for a few minutes.
'Let's go say hi to Vivian.'
Et cetera, et cetera...

Blogtober post  5: What is the first thing you notice about a person when you first meet them? What is the first thing that attracts you to a person? Their body stature? Their height? Blogtober Post 7: Okay, so funny scenario. Actually no, this isn’t funny. Fine, you tell me by the time you’re done. So say you have a friend, really good friend of the opposite sex. You’ve been friends for years. And as normal friendships go, you fight from time to time, have a falling out or two, but you know by now that you’re going to be friends for life.
